[VIC] Last minute GOR - Sun 4 Sep

Recommended Posts

I'm heading down to Pt Lonsdale for Father's Day tomorrow, so I thought it might be a good opportunity for a detour.

So...at this stage, this is the rough plan:

  • 6am depart Melb (I'm leaving from Abbotsford)
  • Head towards Colac
  • Turn off somewhere around Rickett Marsh and aim for Skenes Creek
  • GOR through Lorne, Anglesea
  • Geelong
  • On to Pt Lonsdale for me

Roughly 375km as a round trip back to Melb (leaving out Pt Lonsdale)

This is a bit of a recon mission for a proper GOR SMT sometime soon.

If anyone's keen, let me know.

Aw Dang! Can't make it this morning. I have Father's Day stuff on as well.

Keep us all posted on the 'proper GOR SMT', I'll certainly do my best to be there. Happy to help plan it too!

Enjoy the morning. I've had a nice coffee at Kafe Kaos in Lorne if you're in need of caffeine around there.

Traveled down to Geelong with the mrs this morning for fathers day with her old man.

Unfortunately i couldn't take the 944 as i was devoid of a rear number plate. The car seems to be missing the standard number plate bracket and the PO had drilled holes in the center of his NSW plates in order to fit them, i'd prefer to keep my plates in good nick and find a mounting bracket to do the job.

Will be looking forward to the GOR SMT, hopefully i'll be available :)

480km in the Carrera through the dark, wet, dry, sunny, straight, windy, smooth, rough... you name it conditions. Never missed a beat. What an absolute ripper car. Still about a third of a tank left.

No wonder we love these cars.
