tazzieman Posted 8September, 2016 Report Share Posted 8September, 2016 Mericans swear by Deoxit ; it's pretty damn pricey! What can you recommend locally , that is safe and effective for our old cars and their last century plastics etc?
ANF Posted 8September, 2016 Report Share Posted 8September, 2016 I have used CO Contact Cleaner by CRC in the past with good results. Info says "plastic safe formula" Reminds me I need to stock up on it

Info says "plastic safe formula"Reminds me I need to stock up on it Yes I tried that , it was OK but not necessarily any better than off the shelf mild solvents/acids & +/- where appropriate fine wet&dry sandpaper.. What is the miracle ingredient in these expensively packaged wonder cleaners? The propellant?
tazzieman Posted 9September, 2016 Author Report Share Posted 9September, 2016 I gave the entire 928 electricity station a sprayo with CRC MAF cleaner I'd 1/2 used on the 944 a while back. I noticed it said it was good for 4-10hp at the wheels , so figured the shark electrons could move more powerfully. That's plausible isn't it? Or have I inhaled too many propellant molecules?
