privatepang Posted 30November, 2016 Report Share Posted 30November, 2016 So my car is at the panel beaters and I need to drop the 2.7 engine out of the car and transport it to my house. Car needs to be kept rolling. Curious how hard this is and if anyone with the experience could help. Tranny can stay in the car. Panel beater is in Yennora and could go in on a Saturday morning if anyone is available. Reason is that i'm going to store the engine and I got a new motor going in after car has been painted. Happy to pay for your help
privatepang Posted 30November, 2016 Author Report Share Posted 30November, 2016 I've since been advised that the tranny should come out too and drive shafts tied together so i guess that would be the best bet.
LeeM Posted 30November, 2016 Report Share Posted 30November, 2016 As far as I'm aware, you don't 'Have to' remove the box I removed my engine with an ATV lifter, and used some tie down straps around the top shock mounts to hold the box in place
clutch-monkey Posted 30November, 2016 Report Share Posted 30November, 2016 I found it far easier to remove with the box, from memory
