D-banger Posted 29March, 2012 Report Share Posted 29March, 2012 Wow. Can't recall seeing one of those listed at that price before. Is it Aussie delivered?
Guest vas930 Posted 29March, 2012 Report Share Posted 29March, 2012 Its a 3.3, Doug, not the rare 3.6. In some ways even better. This is a car that you could use without fear. The 3.6 is a now a collector. This is a great car. Not sure if its Aust delivered. Someone should grab it before it ends up in my collection. Spend 20k on the engine and you have a better car than the 3.6 for 70k less.

Chris-p Posted 30March, 2012 Report Share Posted 30March, 2012 Doug and Vas, its interesting as this car gives some perspective about what we were discussing re values at phillip Island. Think I know which one I would buy... C
Guest vas930 Posted 30March, 2012 Report Share Posted 30March, 2012 Great car for someone, Chris. Stock, it would be nice. With 400hp, a beast. Not sure the 964 turbo in 3.3 form will have the value of some of the 930s. However its a better car all round. 5 speed Air con that works Coil over suspension. rps911 Posted 5April, 2012 Report Share Posted 5April, 2012 Reminds me of the Black 89 Porsche 930 convertible that was going for $56k in 2008. ((

Guest vas930 Posted 7May, 2012 Report Share Posted 7May, 2012 You would have thought so, JJ. However, the 964 3.6 knocked the value of the 3.3 down. The most sought after turbo is the pre 1980 930s. Unless you want a 964 3.6. Rare and fast, these come up for sale for over $150k for a good one. The good 930s are now going up in value, fast. J.J. Posted 8May, 2012 Report Share Posted 8May, 2012 how many 3.6 964's are in oz? couldnt be more than half a dozen or so, surely they wouldnt impact too much on the price of the 3.3 strange, at 79k that 3.3 in my book is such a bargain and will be worth twice that in years to come
Guest vas930 Posted 8May, 2012 Report Share Posted 8May, 2012 Yes it was less than 6 from memory. As far as the 964 turbo with the 3.3 value, they are still worth good money. Just not as sought after as the early 930s. As I said the 964 3.3 is a better car than a 930. The 4.0 GT3 RS knoched the hell out of the 3.8 GT3 RS value. Not many 4.0 GT3s in Australia. Thats just how it works.
