thumperson Posted 19December, 2016 Report Share Posted 19December, 2016 Hi all. I have a reasonable chance of getting a role in NZ, based in Auckland. I can't really see the point in selling the cars in here in AUS and then buying again in NZ. The shipping seems to be about $1200 per car plus insurance and some quarantine bits and bobs, so maybe $2000 per car. Has anyone taken their cars with them to NZ on a posting? Was there any issues? I don't know the North island roads but if the south island is anything to go by then it should be heavenly.
TrevMcRev Posted 19December, 2016 Report Share Posted 19December, 2016 From what I've seen Porsches are generally much cheaper in NZ than here. You would do well to sell here, buy there, and if there for 12 months minimum, bring something back as a personal import. sleazius Posted 19December, 2016 Report Share Posted 19December, 2016 If you're into watercooled 911s its definitely cheaper over the ditch. Not as huge a price difference as it use to be, but still substantial. Usually $40-50k cheaper on the equivalent 991 for example over here. Generally $20-30k cheaper on the equivalent 997.
