Adrenalin62 Posted 5February, 2017 Report Share Posted 5February, 2017 Returned from a drive and had trouble selecting 1st. Started car today and couldn't get into gear. Crawled underneath and attempted to tighten the cable. Back into cabin and clutch pedal went straight to the floor. Has anyone had a crack at replacing a cable and if so where did you buy the cable? Cheers steve
Dreamr Posted 5February, 2017 Report Share Posted 5February, 2017 I would have thought that as a consumable, James at Autohaus would be able to help .... worth a try.Have bought a few things from him for the stable and if they weren't in stock, it was only a 2 day wait ..... 911oclock Posted 5February, 2017 Report Share Posted 5February, 2017 I haven't changed one my self but I do understand you are encouraged to brush up on your yoga before attempting to disconnect the cable end from the pedal.

81SC Posted 5February, 2017 Report Share Posted 5February, 2017 Make sure you get the clutch pedal shaft bush & the clutch cable clevis retainer pin as well, when you change the cable. These 2 parts are usually worn as well & it is cheap insurance whilst changing the cable.
