Stew F Posted 13May, 2017 Report Share Posted 13May, 2017 I want to take the 2 stainless trim pieces off my back window seal and repaint them, but I don't want to just dive in and end up damaging them. Anyone know how to remove them? They're the same as the ones on the front.
LeeM Posted 13May, 2017 Report Share Posted 13May, 2017 They just lever them off CAREFULLY with a flat blade screwdriver as close to the same size as the inside width of the joiner, and push back on. MFX Posted 13May, 2017 Report Share Posted 13May, 2017 They actually slide over the join of the two sides of the trim. You can slide it one way (either way) and when you see the gap, you may be able to lift the edge of the trim enough to slide it off. Not sure if that makes sense.
