Lucky Phil Posted 1November, 2017 Report Share Posted 1November, 2017 If you have glass cover on insurance ($50 no brainer on all my cars) the fix is free. I'd suggest O'briens. I have used them and the end result is a small dot that is vitally invisible. As long as it is not on the drivers side all good, otherwise new windscreen is the only remedy, but if you have the glass option also free. Or should I dial neirb’o?if you have insurance go to Porsche and get a factory screen fitted - get an entire new screen; make sure that chip "spreads"..... OZ930 Posted 1November, 2017 Report Share Posted 1November, 2017 If the chip is fresh, and you intend to get it repaired, do not wipe or wash the area. Cover the chip with clear sticky tape before it gets any contaminants in the crack. If you want a do it yourself repair, kits are available from most auto parts stores for around $35. I have had good results with these and some not so good because I didn't / couldn't cover the chip before getting to the repair.
