He is immortalised for the Gurney Bump - the dent in the roof to accommodate his 6.4" frame, when weedy English & Euro drivers were commonly about 5.2" (descendants of jockeys!) Raven Posted 15January, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 15January, 2018 I enjoy watching old footage of the Can am cars in the late 60,s and early 70,s ,,Bruce Mc Laren , Denny Holm , Mark Donohue ,,,,those guy really were brave men testing limits of what was possible at that time and creating legendary cars and drivers ,,Dan Gurney was certainly among the best of them ...
