Drake Posted 1April, 2018 Author Report Share Posted 1April, 2018 Ok, what additional info would be helpful without exposing the owners identity?

Raven Posted 1April, 2018 Report Share Posted 1April, 2018 First of all is the car a Australian delivery or a UK , Japan import ,,,second l recommend you get a Porsche pre purchase inspection either from a dealer or a approved Porsche Specialist who works with these cars to give it a good check over....Look for all the usual used car issues eg smash repairs ,rust ,,oil leaks ,,knocks and rattles panel fit and finish etc ..also the over all condition of the car relative to the mileage can tell you a lot about the owner eg if things are broken and it has got low mileage ...?? .....All so check out some of the other overseas forums regarding issues this particular series of 911 are prone to ,,,,all 911 models over its 50 year history have small issues relating to that series ,,best to get as much knowledge as possible about every aspect of that model before parting with you cash ... Try the rennlist 964 forum and or Pm a member who owns one and ask as many questions as you can after all no one wants to hear you handed over $100k and got a bad car and unfortunately there are bad cars out there ... https://rennlist.com/forums/964-forum-59/

hugh Posted 2April, 2018 Report Share Posted 2April, 2018 Not sure what information you are expecting to find, especially with such a vague initial post. Any books or service records would be my guess as a good place to start.
Andy73 Posted 27April, 2018 Report Share Posted 27April, 2018 G'day Drake Welcome to the forum As others have said, it's a bit tricky to give any info on the car based on one image. I suppose somebody here may recognise it and have heard things in the past but, even then, you'd not be getting much in way of useful info. Just heresay. Does the car not have a history? That in itself could be a bit of a warning sign. There again, if the price reflects it, then maybe you could take that risk. As @Raven mentioned getting a PPI done is well worthwhile, no matter good the car appears on initial inspection. I found this video from Larry Kosilla quite helpful when i was on the hunt for my 964...
Pokiou Posted 2May, 2018 Report Share Posted 2May, 2018 Have you called Porsche with the VIN number to get them to see what the history is. When it came or where it came from. From there you can work forward with the book to see who owned it and where it lived its life ?
