Braddo Posted 28August, 2012 Report Share Posted 28August, 2012 i could ask Porsche Centre Brisbane this question but want to keep some things secret from them to try and save some repair money myself can someone please help with part numbers for these 2 items (RHS & LHS) so I can search Pelican Parts for genuine & non-genuine item prices these are the Mk1 330mm x 34 mm, not the 350mm Mk2's outside radial cracks have now gone right to edge of both rotors after 2.5 years of moderate track work I'm thinking about trying non-genuine slotted rotors instead of drilled...any comments? I run Project Mu race pads very very good Regards, Braddo Brisbane
k1200 Posted 31January, 2015 Report Share Posted 31January, 2015 i realise that this is a very old post - but might help someone in the future... i replaced my 996.1 GT3 front rotors with a kit from girodisc in the US. They provide a conversion kit to 350mm rotors which includes ally hat two piece rotors, caliper spacers and longer bolts. Cost about $1500 including freight. I also use Project Mu pads (H16-03) and find them excellent. Supplier was Racer Industries in Qld.
Kelly Posted 15February, 2015 Report Share Posted 15February, 2015 I went to 350mm rotors and switched to performance friction dimpled rotors like most of my gt3 track friends in the uk. They last exceptionally well.
spiller Posted 15February, 2015 Report Share Posted 15February, 2015 ^^^ why the dimpled over the slotted, out of curiosity?
Kelly Posted 15February, 2015 Report Share Posted 15February, 2015 ^^^ why the dimpled over the slotted, out of curiosity? dimpled vs slotted made little difference in my observations, it's just drilled rotors that were always quick to crack to the limits.
