Replacement Service Books

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever purchased replacement service books and had them stamped by the dealer. Seems like something that is possible in the UK:

A few years ago I tried to get stamps on a non Pcar. I was verbally told the service history however they wouldn't provide anything in writing.

While we're on the topic, does anyone know if Pcar service history in Australia is on a single database, or whether each Porsche centre maintains their own database?

To my knowledge there is no central database on this.  The original service book for my 996.2 was lost, however there was a photocopy of the service book available, so AH got another book, and the P Centres were happy to re-stamp the book based on the photocopies.  Only issue was an independent that was no longer in business that had done a a few services along the way.  Their details were just written in unstamped.  Not perfect, but a great option.  Main thing I miss out on is the car options sticker in the front.

Now, on that topic, does anyone know if it is possible to get a reprint of the options sticker to go onto / under a replacement bonnet?

I don't think you can get a replacement AFAIK, however i'll give it a go in Photoshop/Illustrator to create a new one if you'd like (would be for enthusiast purposes only).

There is a guy in the US who recreates them for a cost for 993's etc, i'll give it a crack it if you cover the cost to get it printed :) and a beer when you're in Melbourne with the car next.

PM me your VIN and car options if you're interested, ill see what I can do.

Try www.car-bone.pl who are based in Poland but seem to have every decal for Porsche and can make custom ones as needed.  Postage is cheap!

ie http://car-bone.pl/shop/underhood-stickers-964/

Don't think they have anything for a 996 or a search for 996 yielded no results
