Dave997S Posted 24June, 2018 Report Share Posted 24June, 2018 I’m off to the USA this week, taking some adaptive athletes to a wheelchair basketball camp, so I thought I better take it for a squirt. The wife and I have been chatting about a late 996 or 997.1, but geez after every time I drive it, the heart says keep it! It’s a great intro into the marque. Troubleshooter Posted 24June, 2018 Report Share Posted 24June, 2018 They are a good thing! If you're liking the plain Boxster 986 with the wind in your hair, upgrade to a 987 S Boxster and you'll never get out of it! So racey and competent, so many more options could be had on the 987 than the 986...
Niko Posted 24June, 2018 Report Share Posted 24June, 2018 keep it....

It’s my first Porsche so I might have a slight rose coloured tint on my glasses, but it’s grouse. Apart from the 18’s (and the obligatory IMS upgrade) it’s as Ferry designers wanted it to be. My 15yr old son has already pegged it to be his learner car...I think not!! (Edit for spelling)

I’d be keen on manual, coupe, RWD in silver. 23 hours ago, nbauto said: Why not, they make a great first car!! ? There is no way I’m showing him this!!
