Shane911 Posted 7March, 2022 Report Share Posted 7March, 2022 I was washing my car today and notice that I have lost the coloured centre crest from one of my wheels, (see photos), does anyone know if you can jsut buy the coloured centre crest or do I have to buy the whole unit? TwoHeadsTas Posted 7March, 2022 Report Share Posted 7March, 2022 Just keep an eye out on the FB Porsche sales sites or eBay, I'm sure a repro will pop up, or you might be lucky enough to find a s/hand centre cap here
MARTY Posted 7March, 2022 Report Share Posted 7March, 2022 Mine did exactly the same I ended up buying some new ones which do look better just cost$$$
Rod C Posted 8March, 2022 Report Share Posted 8March, 2022 Expect to pay around the $90.00 for one as a whole unit. If you dont have the tool to remove the caps just insert 2 allen keys into the holes....short sides...... and pull. Just be aware there are variants in the outer surfaces of the caps...ie concave ,convex and a line around the shield as with yours.

Great thanks for the advice I was wondering how to remove them, was thinking I would have to take the whole wheel off and push the cap out from the inside. I will remove it and see what the part number is.
Arne Krix Posted 8March, 2022 Report Share Posted 8March, 2022 I replaced mine. Yes, Ebay is a good source. I sprayed the caps with a clear , the colors tend to fade out otherwise , due to wear and chemicals when washing.
MARTY Posted 8March, 2022 Report Share Posted 8March, 2022 Just be careful with the eBay ones they might be cheap but the quality isn’t as good unless they are genuine Porsche ones,I’d just bite the bullet and see if your local dealer will do you a deal for the 4 you might be surprised
Rod C Posted 8March, 2022 Report Share Posted 8March, 2022 You can purchase one cap on its own from Porsche.
Shane911 Posted 10March, 2022 Author Report Share Posted 10March, 2022 thanks all I have decided to buy 4 new ones, when checking the other wheels, one of the crests fell off in my hands. I found genuine Porsche caps from a US dealer for USD$177. MARTY
