Trogdor Posted 16May, 2022 Report Share Posted 16May, 2022 Hi All, I'm thinking of selling my 718 GTS (summary is I've had twins last year, I can't always use my wife's X5, and I'm left stuck with too little room at times). I've ordered a 2023 Ranger Raptor (year I know... 😂🤷♂️) and will probably buy an interim SUV or ute til then, and down the track pick up another Porsche as a third car (probably a manual next time). Car has 15,xxx km on it. PDK. It was an extended warranty until July 2025. In 2021 the car had a new engine put in under warranty which would have about 1000km on it. The summary was after 6 months at Porsche and many shipments of parts from Germany it was a wiring loom issue (which was misdiagnosed as a bunch of things up to and including the replacement of a perfectly good engine!), but in the process the car got a new engine and new ECU! So basically you'd get a almost new car, with a new engine, and ~3 years of factory warranty. You can also keep on extending the warranty for (I believe) 15 years prior to the expiration of this term in July 2025. It's in great condition, other than one wheel which has one scuff on it (rear RHS), that I'll fix prior to sale. Car has been tracked 3 times (which I highly recommend - but again with kids now and fishing as my main hobby no time) and has had a very easy life - mostly a short commute to work. I'm in Mosman, NSW (car is on Vic plates still, I moved up here a few months back) and at some point soonish will get NSW plates if not sold soon. I need to do a bit more research on a sensible price, so I'll update once I've landed on this. But please reach out for a chat if interested or if any other questions! Thanks! tomo and sjm
Trogdor Posted 16May, 2022 Author Report Share Posted 16May, 2022 Wow... It seems used cars have gone up a lot in value....! I'm thinking $175k + stamps is a reasonable price given a review of the comps, age of vehicle, and private sale. There are no Boxster GTS' for sale, but for Caymans (which I believe are cheaper...?) there are ~190 - 205k for very lightly used models which are a bit newer than mine and dealer sale. Comps: 2019 Cayman GTS (2.5T) - $204,995 + ORChttps://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2019-porsche-718-cayman-gts-982-auto-my20/OAG-AD-20502788/?Cr=0 2018 Cayman GTS (2.5T) - $199,800 (Driveway)https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2018-porsche-718-cayman-gts-982-manual-my18/OAG-AD-20692150/?Cr=2 There are no Boxster GTS 2.5T for sale. In terms of Boxster S: 2017 Boxster S (33,000 km) - $154,990 + ORChttps://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2017-porsche-718-boxster-s-982-auto-my17/OAG-AD-20593513/?Cr=2 2018 Boxster S (24,000km) - $153,000 + ORChttps://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2018-porsche-718-boxster-s-982-auto-my18/SSE-AD-12722613/?Cr=1 2016 Boxster S (69,000km, so an oldie!) - $126,980 + ORChttps://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2016-porsche-718-boxster-s-982-auto-my17/SSE-AD-11853993/?Cr=

TwoHeadsTas Posted 17May, 2022 Report Share Posted 17May, 2022 Bummer, if it was a 2016 981 I'd have been trying to talk my wife into upgrading her car 😞 Last 981 with 35k kms just went on hold today with advertised price of $
