Uncle Posted 2March, 2013 Report Share Posted 2March, 2013 Ask the owner if it has a G50? Failing that ask for the part number stamped on the box.
wasserkuhl Posted 2March, 2013 Report Share Posted 2March, 2013 MY 1987 production started in October 1986. If it was built in 1987 it has a G50. All G50's were MY 1987 onwards. LSD was not std fitment, you will need to research the option codes via Porsche to see if it has a LSD. Or Jack it up and turn the rear wheels to see if they both turn in the same direction. Have a drive, thats the easiest way to tell.
Danny Posted 3March, 2013 Report Share Posted 3March, 2013 MY 87 started production in September 86 I think!' So every 3.2 built from there on should have a g50. Reverse is located on top left next to 1st. That's the easiest way to tell.
ML911 Posted 4March, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 4March, 2013 Good news it has got the G50, thanks for those good replys, big help. Too hard to jack the back up to check it for LSD, i will do it the "Porsche" way and only way by taking it for a drive, Cheers
