993 manual prices

Recommended Posts

Looking on carsales at the moment, price differences are quite broad for not too dissimilar manual 993's. I understand imports will always be cheaper, and cabs not as sought after as coupes. But similar coupes seem to attract large variations as well.

Just wanting a guage on what is a fair price on a decent example.

Currently on carsales, Cabriolet manuals from around $60k through to $69k

Some Coupe examples:

UK import $59,990

I don't know too much about 993 pricing, but from what I do know, 'good' cars are:

- auto $55k +

- manual $70k+

The purple UK import is very cheap because of color and likely has rust issues (note that seller indicates some rust repairs already done)

If you want very good cars then 90k+

993 prices in Oz are nuts, but there you go.

It's a market, so different people have different ideas on valuations.

What some people value, others discount (and vice versa).

Some other factors that can affect perceived 'value',

- manual, auto

- 2wd, 4wd

- mileage

- originality

- documented service history

- colours

- options
