EOI

opportunity too acquire a rare and unique 1947 split window beetle

This example,  well known internationally and had been previously owned by the very  unique Captain Maurice Seddon, inventor of heated motorbike clothing, amongst other innovations.

During Maurice’s ownership he had made many mods , which the car still possesses, including the propane conversion and myriad wiring changes and there still remains evidence of the passenger seat area conversion too a  , camper /bed onfiguration, as it was extensively toured at one time.

Graham Lees , known collector , in the 70’-80’s was buying all available Split Windows and bought this directly from Maurice , where it was then imported back too Australia

Then  acquired in 2017

As it is today , its a ipreservation car, and could retain its patina and  mods which capture its history and story , or , fully restored  too original 47 specification

Early Max Hoffman split windows in the US, have sold for 175,000 usd.
