ASTAR911 Posted 21April, 2013 Report Share Posted 21April, 2013 I am looking at getting my 88's ride height lowered, aligned and corner balanced. Can anyone recommend a good shop in Melbourne (or indicate from experience the places I should stay clear of). Happy to recieve PM's.
Harvs11 Posted 21April, 2013 Report Share Posted 21April, 2013 I've had good results setting up the suspension. on my SC from these guys; Traction Tyres 65 Kelletts Road. Rowville, VIC. 3178 PH. (03) 9764 2811 PS. I have no affiliation apart from being a satisfied customer.
ASTAR911 Posted 27April, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 27April, 2013 Thanks Harvs, I was hoping to find something more inner city, as I am on the other side of town.

The journey doesn't take too long using the east link or monash fwy outside of peak hours.
Vas Posted 27April, 2013 Report Share Posted 27April, 2013 See Loui at Motion Automotive. He the man. 96450022 in Sth Melbourne.
Harvs11 Posted 27April, 2013 Report Share Posted 27April, 2013 I've never used Loui for suspension but he has the good rep. amongst many Porshe owners. At the moment my car is taking up space in his shop waiting for a new alternator and then he is going to sort out some other gremlins.
T-Man Posted 28April, 2013 Report Share Posted 28April, 2013 I watch this thread with great interest gents. I've had the 993 at two recommended shops and am still not satisfied with the setup. Each model varies as does the driver's needs and expectation. You need a shop that understands the model and prepared to understand the driver and set up to suit. Lowering a car can create bumpsteer issues, which thankfully on a 88 are easily resolved. Oh, and make sure they test drive the thing properly.
