The Spyder RS is a niche car and definitely not for everyone. One thing that I find a bit strange is their reference to feeling a relative lack of low rpm torque in the GT3 engine. Which doesn't seem to agree with the objective data of the torque/hp curves of the GTS4.0 and GT4RS (proxy for SRS) engines. @WGA as you are fortunate enough to own both a 718 Boxster GTS4.0 and a GT4RS - what is your perspective on low end torque between the two cars/engines?
