Simonk Posted 24August, 2013 Report Share Posted 24August, 2013 Can anyone tell me how to get it back in. There's a locking ring which looks like it needs to be turned to lock it in place but I can't figure out how to turn it with the lens already in the housing. Unless the the motor comes out some how? Russ Posted 24August, 2013 Report Share Posted 24August, 2013 i assume you've got the backing that the mirror is glued to? when I've seen them come apart the glass comes off the backing and is re-glued.
Simonk Posted 24August, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 24August, 2013 I think so. The ring locks into the back of the lens ok. There's 4 tiny holes attached to the motor and 4 locating points on the back of the lens and the ring looks like it locks it all in place. Just buggered if I can figure out how to turn the ring to lock it

Thanks heaps Bruce. I was so close but didn't think to angle the mirror down so the lock ring lines up with the access hole at the bottom of the mirror.
