withers Posted 23October, 2013 Report Share Posted 23October, 2013 I've been thinking of putting in something like below. To stop leaves and debris getting in near the radiators. Any downside to doing this or anyone already have them installed? What did you use and hows it look?
Hounddub Posted 23October, 2013 Report Share Posted 23October, 2013 Got tem on my 997. Make sure you pay the extra for the black ones not the plated colour. Zun sport quality very good. Available from design911.com for very good price and they ship fedex within a week.
Carrera28 Posted 23October, 2013 Report Share Posted 23October, 2013 I agree with importance of paying for quality. I bought fairly cheap ones off E-Bay when they arrived they had a convoluted process for attachment which involved drilling holes in the front bar and attaching with a combination of screws and zip ties. In the end I had the front bar repainted by a panel beater so I had them fir the mesh. They bonded them to the front bar using glue and this gave a much neater appearance. Before attaching them I had them primed and sprayed in a matt black and they looked brilliant. However within a couple of days they had chips and now they look a bit pock marked. In hindsight if I went with cheap grilles again I would leave them silver, but in all likelihood would look at quality grilles that others have fitted which don't flake so you don't end up with a speckled look like mine:)

withers Posted 23October, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 23October, 2013 Cool thanks guys. So sounds like the zunsport might be the go then! Would I need to remove them periodically to still clean behind the grills? Other than cleaning the space in front well before fitment, anything else I should do or clean with to protect the space there??
hugh Posted 23October, 2013 Report Share Posted 23October, 2013 you could get some neon's going on behind them, fast and the furious style.
928S4 Posted 1November, 2013 Report Share Posted 1November, 2013 Mount some blue and reds behind them? They actually look quite neat and OEM. I guess I'll add them to my to-list when I eventually buy my car lol
