clutch-monkey Posted 1November, 2013 Report Share Posted 1November, 2013 not sure i can budget it, but i have an urge to buy these and paint the centres in gold... what part on the rear scrapes? widths/offsets?
SteamWolf Posted 1November, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 1November, 2013 I'll have to go measure them again as I can't remember. The rears are about an inch too far out for the SC so I'm guessing they would be perfect for the 930 or group 4 flares.
clutch-monkey Posted 1November, 2013 Report Share Posted 1November, 2013 ah damn. the width of the lips looked spot on, guess not.
SteamWolf Posted 1November, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 1November, 2013 ok measuring roughly from boltable centre to bead (not outside lip, and not true centre) offsets are: Front: outside 50mm, inside 160mm (tyre is 225/50/ZR16) Rear: outside 110mm, inside 140mm (tyre is 245/45/ZR16) Could fit a slightly wider tyre on the rims too as the sidewall is sitting slightly wider than the tread. Boxer Posted 1November, 2013 Report Share Posted 1November, 2013 Im liking the wheels Jim, Pity they don't fit, I reckon black centres on your car would look tops
SteamWolf Posted 1November, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 1November, 2013 Me too mate. But its realistically a year before I can go wide body. Until then they are just in the way.
MaxzmusSC Posted 2November, 2013 Report Share Posted 2November, 2013 can the camber on the rear wheels be set more aggressively? Would only work on track anyhow. How old are the tread?
SteamWolf Posted 2November, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 2November, 2013 Tyres have never been used except when I drove it around the block and discovered they touched the rear guards. No idea of the shelf age of them but at a guess id say 8 years.
OZ930 Posted 2November, 2013 Report Share Posted 2November, 2013 There should be a date code on the side wall Steamer http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/passenger/care/age.aspx
SteamWolf Posted 2November, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 2November, 2013 LOL 2001 No signs of oxidisation or cracking though. They were kept under cover until fitted to the rims just before I bought them a few months back.
SteamWolf Posted 3November, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 3November, 2013 Remember the wheels are worth more than this without the tyres so if they are a problem I can get them removed.
