Kinematic Toe Adjustment For 993

There has been lots of discussion on overseas forums relating to wheel alignment for the 993 and in particular the "Kinematic Toe" adjustment.

I would like to know from our membership base..........Does anyone know a shop that actually has the correct tools and skill to address the kinematic adjustment that can make a 993 drive like a road king or a road pig?

hi T-man

I just had my C4 fitted with suspemsion updates and had the kinematic toe done during the alignment process. Handles like a dream now and is significantly faster in Motorkhana and Supersprint.

Whilst the Kinematic toe adjustment is only part of the alignment process it is recommended that its checked regularly.

I had mine done by Just James' mob , but I know Cavaco send the tool with the car to their alignment specialist.

It can't be to complicated to begin with , as you probably know you can buy the tool from Pelican for diy?

cheers

I've given a heap of work the DIY approach and happy to attack most things myself, however, suspension geometry is something I'm not really versed in or have my head around so this will be left to the "experts".

T- Man a few of us are manning up for a suspension tech session in Canberra in May, admittedly not on 993', all early cars. but doing ride heights, corner weights, alignment etc. I agree it is a bit worrisome; but if the race guys do it with a stick and a string, I reckon most of us with the right approach could do it too.
