Paul Carrera Posted 15May, 2014 Report Share Posted 15May, 2014 Just wondering how to remove the horn pad, I'm guessing it just pulls off but want to check so that I don't break anything
Stew F Posted 15May, 2014 Report Share Posted 15May, 2014 I read about that style wheel when I was looking at how to do my 3 spoke wheel. Gently pull from both sides and it will come off. Then you need a 27mm socket to get the wheel off.
OZ930 Posted 15May, 2014 Report Share Posted 15May, 2014 Hope this helps http://www.stuttswap.com/stuttswap/recover/whl_removal.html and http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Mult_Steering_Wheel/Mult_Steering_Wheel.htm DO NOT loosen the nut against the steering lock, release the lock then hold the steering wheel firm. The last note says to "pull that sucker off" but if it is a little stuck and releases suddenly, then you will end up with a steering wheel in your face. I would suggest loosening the nut about 1 turn then rock and pull until the nut is tight against the wheel. Repeat this process until the wheel is off.
