au-yt Posted 8August, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 8August, 2014 Thanks for the link, there seems to be abit of confusion and they do appear to be a marketing optioned car, however there is one around that has a great deal of Gemballa options, were these aftermarket or special factory options? Hounddub Posted 14August, 2014 Report Share Posted 14August, 2014 Really good topic. Would be interesting to know the "option levels" of the other 997s here. Coming from Singapore, mine has a stupid level of options: - PASM - Chrono - BOSE - CD Changer - PSE - Optional electric/ memory front seats (both sides) - Full leather Seats, doors, dash, lower dash, petty much everything - Cruise - Option steering wheel with multi-function - Sensors - Coming Home controls - Chromatic mirror - Chromatic wing mirrors - Turbo 19's - Optional dials in custom colour - Rear wiper - Clear indicators ....the BOSE alone in Singapore was a $25K option (insane hey) All up it was delivered in Singapore for SGD$550,000 with the $80K of options fitted.....and no, that's not a typo! How anyone could have justified that escapes me.
sleazius Posted 15August, 2014 Report Share Posted 15August, 2014 A lot of the things on your list are just the difference between US and ROW spec cars from what I can make out. US 911s are stripped out, so you'll see on the forums people talk about options they've got that weren't options here for example. Mine being a 2S, using your list for comparison: - PASM (standard) - Chrono (option) - BOSE (not sure, think it was an option, not mentioned on the receipt of sale though on my car) - CD Changer (standard) - PSE (option) - electric/ memory front seats (both sides) (again, think this was standard) - Full leather Seats, doors, dash, lower dash, petty much everything (standard) - Cruise (standard) Some of the things not on your list that my car has: - carbon fibre bits (option) - more carbon fibre bits to rear seats (option) - 19" carrera classic wheels (option) - short shift (option) - wheel caps with porsche crest (option) The only options that I wish I had are the option steering wheel, and the parking sensors. Very few 997s that I looked at had the sensors, and usually when they did they didn't have chrono. A few had turbo wheels, but that was a nearly $8000 option here so it is a bit rarer. Coloured dials here seems pretty rare too, at least on a 2S anyway.
teknostar Posted 5November, 2014 Report Share Posted 5November, 2014 I have a 997.1 C2S Chrono Classic 19s White dials Standard steering wheel (better looking in my opinion than multi-function) Bose and PSE are standard?? CD standard Electric seats standard Dimming rear mirror standard Rear wiper standard (annoying that there is now water jet though)
