Ozvino Posted 3September, 2014 Report Share Posted 3September, 2014 I've got stock 18" Twists on my 996; I dont mind the look and the 18's are nice quality light wheels, plus mine have had a mild refurb so they are in good shape. The only disappointment for me is the tuck well under the guards, especially at the front they are almost "356 like" they way they sit inboard quite some distance Looking around on a number of sites it seems that a lot of folks are running 15mm hub-centric spacers front and rear. Anyone local running spacers with standard wheels? Cheers Dave
espskk Posted 4September, 2014 Report Share Posted 4September, 2014 Gday Dave, from personal experience I know that spacers are NOT legally permitted on any vehicle in Victoria. Its ok to say that "I wont get caught". However all you need is some f**wit to run into you and an insurance company will drop you like a hot potato. Ozvino Posted 4September, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 4September, 2014 Steve, not sure how that is determined given that a number of Porsche's (and other makes) ship new from the factory with spacers My 928 has factory Porsche brand hub-centric spacers on the rear (albeit from another P Car - not mine) Dave

Ozvino Posted 4September, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 4September, 2014 so I wonder how many cars go through roadworthy with spacers - especially factory fit ones
Russ Posted 4September, 2014 Report Share Posted 4September, 2014 it seems to say if they were factory fitted they're okay. I'd be more worried about an insurance company trying to find an excuse not to pay after an accident
