Ten Degrees Posted 11November, 2014 Report Share Posted 11November, 2014 For those that are interested, yesterday I had to have the clutch replaced in my car, so obviously while the gear box was out I had the IMS done as well. My car is a 2003 996 manual and has just clicked over 101,000 km. The original bearing was in perfect condition. It was replaced with a LN Engineering bearing. Weltmeister did the work. I have kept it for a paper weight on my desk! Tim

baso Posted 12November, 2014 Report Share Posted 12November, 2014 Have mine (Boxster) in at the moment for the exact same thing - did not get that distance out of the clutch though (thanks to previous owner).
Ten Degrees Posted 12November, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 12November, 2014 cool... can I ask how much it cost ? the kit? It wasn't cheap. The IMS kit was $1200 + labour. There was an issue with both the slave and master cylinders so the labour was a little higher than just replacing the clutch. The clutch kit was about $1200 as well.
