proob Posted 11February, 2016 Report Share Posted 11February, 2016 Drove my 997 into the garage; parked and locked it. Next night I unlocked it, opened the door, sat down, foot on the brake (tiptronic), key in the lock, and nothing! Not the slightest sound. The steering will not unlock and can't get it out of park. The display tells me that key 1 is being used etc. I know it's clutching at straws but changed the key battery and checked battery charge. Can anyone add?? I believe that a dead battery will give those symptoms regarding not being able to remove the key. If you can`t open the froot you can hook up and jump start it from the fuse panel.
