David-930 Posted 10November, 2011 Report Share Posted 10November, 2011 Hi, I'm looking to replace the carpet in my 1988 930, however, all of the USA sites only seem to offer LHD sets. I am interested in getting something as close to original as possible. I have contacted Lakewell.com and their price seems reasonable for a complete set: 579euro shipped to Australia. Has anyone bought a carpet set from Lakewell.com, if so what was the quality like? Can anyone recommend another seller? Thanks, David.
Guest vas930 Posted 11November, 2011 Report Share Posted 11November, 2011 Hi, David. Nice to have a new 930 on the forum. These guys have what you need http://www.classicbritishgerman.com.au/shopcustcontact.asp You cant beat a hand made carpet set. Yes its more expensive than a kit. But the fit and finish is worth it. Good luck.

randall Posted 11November, 2011 Report Share Posted 11November, 2011 I've ordered a Sliverknit carpet set from Lakewell last week, can provide feedback once it arrives (about 2-3 weeks I was told) or if you are in Syndey you are more than welcome to see it in person. EDIT: Appbiz in states can do a RHD set (they charge $30 extra over the LHD kit)but the quaility of their carpet (based on photos) didn't seem to be as good as Lakewell. David-930 Posted 19November, 2011 Author Report Share Posted 19November, 2011 Thanks for the reply's and your offer Randall. I too decided to go with the Lakewell carpet set, the pics of the carpet look top quality and the price was too good to pass up.

Oldskl60 Posted 2May, 2016 Report Share Posted 2May, 2016 I did a tan Sliverknit Lakewell kit on a 1978 RHD SC and it worked out great. Easy to fit and quality was very good. The rear seat side panels are quite thin however this makes it easier to mould/stretch in / around the seat belt mounts and seat well.I would go again

Pork Chops Posted 3May, 2016 Report Share Posted 3May, 2016 In a race to the bottom Lakewell were least late in getting back to me so I've gone with them. Pricing was cheaper too. I'll let you know how I go but be 4 weeks before it gets over here.
