09ELF Posted 24June, 2016 Report Share Posted 24June, 2016 Dealing with O-Briens atm... and would probably not ever use them again.Ordered a windscreen and asked specifically to ensure it didn't have the tinted band and antenna.. So they send out a tinted one and want to charge me delivery as they can't supply me one without it.So... question stands... Does anyone know where I can get a new windscreen? I am going to press Shannon's for an original one now, but would happily accept an after market provided its without the ugly tinted band =(
Dreamr Posted 24June, 2016 Report Share Posted 24June, 2016 Maybe try James at Autohaus ....Two days ago I bought a windscreen seal and it was in stock and delivered the next day ....He might not have one in stock, but possibly be able to get one or lead you in the right direction .... 09ELF Posted 24June, 2016 Author Report Share Posted 24June, 2016 Autohaus: NoBWA : No, but can orderPorsche centre: No, but can order...I thought non-tinted (band) windscreens were quiet common. Now going through photos I realised, heaps of cars run the tinted band including Singer etc.. Peter M Posted 24June, 2016 Report Share Posted 24June, 2016 Now going through photos I realised, heaps of cars run the tinted band including Singer etc..It is so faint that you don't notice it when installed.I bought a Windscreen O'Brien one for about $350 fitted and have not looked back.I think there are bigger issues to worry about!
