tazzieman Posted 2August, 2016 Report Share Posted 2August, 2016 I have been looking at this from a benz point of view but it's interesting to see just how many (original ; rego laws are very strict) vehicles are alive in Germany.Classic 911s are , well , common as muck really. We wouldn't have the per capita equivalent number (of ~1500) here. Or do we? Anyway a lot of those are modded, thus don't count See http://www.best-selling-cars.com/germany/2012-germany-most-popular-oldtimer-classic-cars/
scashin Posted 3August, 2016 Report Share Posted 3August, 2016 3000 W108/109's - There is still quite a few in Oz. I owned a 300SEL 6.3 for a while and met many other W108/109 owners
ANF Posted 3August, 2016 Report Share Posted 3August, 2016 Having 8000 R107s vs only 3000 W108s does not compute.... unless a lot have perished??There would have been many more 108s vs 107s new.... surely? Even more pagodas than 108s??!I don't think we have any way of listing classic cars still on the road in Aus?

It's the valued ones that get saved and only driven in fair weather etc.W108's/9s used for towing , farm use (seriously , many on farms in Aus)An astounding number of Pagodas over there! And no I don't think one can access registered vehicle numbers in Aus.
