K911 Posted 1September, 2016 Report Share Posted 1September, 2016 Back in 2004, I saw the the press car being unloaded of a truck at Hamilton's in Melbourne. I couldn't believe my luck actually seeing one in the flesh. It was red.I just found the original review from 2004: http://www.motoring.com.au/2004-porsche-carrera-gt-3044/

Only ever seen one static. There's one in the Gosford "Museum" as we speak. Did they start it up?Scratch that. I saw one at Eastern Creek a while back. It was being babied though. Even then, the noise was enough to put me in a petrol coma.
K911 Posted 1September, 2016 Report Share Posted 1September, 2016 Jealous!. Only ever seen one static. There's one in the Gosford "Museum" as we speak. Did they start it up?I only saw it coming of the truck. I recall a crowd of Porsche mechanics standing around in looking quite impressed, as was I. 12 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. Raven Posted 1September, 2016 Report Share Posted 1September, 2016 Still a mind blowing car regardless of it being over a decade old ,,,,,I am looking forward to heading up to the Gosford car museum to see the one they have on display there ..... Timm Posted 2September, 2016 Report Share Posted 2September, 2016 Love it! I was a teenager when the Carrera GT came out, and I was absolutely captivated by it. The Carrera GT is what first sparked my Porsche obsession. 10 years later I still have the same poster on my wall.
spiller Posted 2September, 2016 Report Share Posted 2September, 2016 Let me be the first to say Carrera GT > 918 (and I am a big fan of the 918).
