2006 Cayman S Manual

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

With great regret, I'm looking to sell my 2006 Cayman S - just bought a house and it's time to move it on.

Full service history, heaps spent recently on replacing the clutch, flywheel, brakes, starter motor, Numeric shift cables. Water pump was done 2 years ago also.

Mods include Carnewal Exhaust with hi-flow cats, Sachs adjustable coil over suspension, 19" Advan Racing RZ-DF Forged alloy wheels.

Have it listed for $66,000 on carsales. Link is here with full description & heaps more photos: https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Porsche-Cayman-2006/SSE-AD-4852135/?Cr=3

Thanks,

Eddie

GLWS - very nice mate

what can you tell me about your steering wheel - I have a 987 Boxster and would be keen for an upgrade?

I'd strongly recomend you look at a UK company called Royal Steering Wheels. They took my old wheel on exchange and recovered a similar one in Napa leather with your choice of stitching (I went white to match the interior stitching on the doors etc). They also beefed the wheel up a bit, which it needs, and put more pronounced thumb grips.

Bit of a pain with waiting for the wheel to arrive from the UK, but my old wheel stayed on until the new one arrived.

Royal Steering Wheels.

That was my former wheel that I sold to Ed.

You can get yours re-manufactured to have the pistol grip moldings and flat bottom by DCT MOTOR SPORTS | 500 Laurelwood Rd. Ste16, Santa Clara, CA95054. But you will have to ship them your steering wheel as a core exchange.

There are other companies that are doing the same. e.g.

another one in the states that does not require a core exchange

and one from Latvia that requires a core exchange
