D-banger Posted 19July, 2012 Report Share Posted 19July, 2012 I have no vested interest. But super rare 964 Turbo 3.6 has come on the market. Last of the single turbo rear wheel drive classic 911s. A real hairy chested man's car http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/porsche-911-1993-13021717?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=63&page=6&eapi=2&__N=1246+1247+1252+1282+4294963765+4294963707+1216&num=15&silo=Stock&Range=Price:50000,Max~0.5&sort=~Price

Guest vas930 Posted 19July, 2012 Report Share Posted 19July, 2012 Yeh the numerous plates is a bit weird. I am half expecting to see an announcement from Vas on a new purchase I do love those cars. Its true, I am in the market for a second turbo. However, the 965 3.6 is just to rare for someone that drives hard and every weekend. A great car for someone looking for a low km keeper. Pretty sure thats the car my dad and I test drove back in 95.. Rear wheel drive light weight, around 400hp, yes please. At 155k you would not want to rack up to many kms to maintain its value. Someone please buy it.
Guest vas930 Posted 19July, 2012 Report Share Posted 19July, 2012 are those side intakes stock? didnt think they had them?? They are not stock. Think the 'S" had them. No big deal, as they are so rare. Wont make a mark on the value. This is the type of car you would restore back to perfect original spec. Even if you did it over 10 years. J.J. Posted 19July, 2012 Report Share Posted 19July, 2012 whats the point of buying a 911 and not driving it?? if you want a long term investment buy property/stock etc buy a car to do what it was built for
Guest vas930 Posted 20July, 2012 Report Share Posted 20July, 2012 Because people that collect these cars have plenty of that. They dont need more money, they want rare Porsches. But for us normal folk, you are right, JJ. If we can have one or two, we want to drive them.
