Four spoke steering wheel wanted/details

I'm chasing a black four spoke Porsche wheel for my 1985 3.2 if anyone has one in good condition.

I'm not sure if the same wheel was used on G series 3.2, 964, 944 & 928.  I have one in my 944 S2 and someone told me it felt smaller than their original 3.2, the S2 wheel measures around 360mm on the outside diameter, like the wheel in the pic below.

If anyone has a wheel they are considering for sale, shoot me a PM.

If anyone with an original 3.2 wheel can take the time to measure the OD for me, it would be appreciated, also interested in feedback on 964 and 928.

The 944 ( 1986 > )  , naturally this includes 951 , 944S , 944S2 , 968 etc  has a smaller dia steering splined male shaft, which means a smaller female spline ( hole ) in the steering wheel hub to suite as compared to a 911 ( up to 1989 ) , also the center line ( offset ) of the steering wheel of a ( say ) 944S2 is more central where as the 911 ( up to 1989 ) is more offset

So in other words a steering wheel from a 911 ( up to 1989 ) will not fit a 944 / 944S2 / 951 / 968 ( 1986 - 1995 ) , wrong splined hole size

However a steering wheel from a 964 ( 1990 - 1993 ) has the same splines / shaft size as a 944 / 944S2 , however a 964 steering wheel is more "off set "( like the 911 > 1989 ) , meaning on a 944S2 etc  it ( in the center position ) the top of the wheel rim will sit too high = looks and feels strange

As a side note , the 928 steering wheel has a large center splined hole in the wheel ( same splines etc as a 911 up to 1989 ) , but like the 944 the 928 steering wheel has very little center off set ( like the 944  1986> )

So it means to have the correct steering wheel rim ( height ) you have to have the correct steering wheel for each model  if you are using genuine Porsche steering wheels , or you just put up with a wheel rim sitting too high or too low ( off sets )

Thanks for the clarification Bruce, thought there may be an issue with the other series wheels.......so I need a specific four spoker for the 84-89 911.

I've got a 3 I think.

Will take a look.

If you're at the RSR thing on Sunday, I can bring them for you to check out

I'd be interested in having a look at what you have GUT, but won't be able to make the RSR gathering, music festival planned for this weekend.

Let me know if you think you have one that is 911 from 84-89.  If you can PM me a pic and your number I will give you a call.

I'll have to get some pics  - will do on the weekend

Can't remember but think I have 3 - I think pretty good condition too. I lose track!

Four spoke wheel now sorted thanks to Luke.........cheers mate, very happy with it :CoolDance:

911 wheel definitely bigger than the S2 along with larger horn pad and different offset as Bruce highlighted.

The switch over will be a good little job for me over x-mas.
