Gsaps Posted 14December, 2017 Report Share Posted 14December, 2017 Has anyone had any experience repairing the typical dash cracks that 911's get or is a full dash replacement the only way to go ? thanks grant
pocketscience Posted 14December, 2017 Report Share Posted 14December, 2017 Can't talk to 911, but I had the dash (and complete interior) re-done in my old 924 (since sold). It was done by a guy in Artarmon.

brian in buddina Posted 15December, 2017 Report Share Posted 15December, 2017 Lots of You tube videos on how to do a repair yourself, lots of discussion on the rennlist forum on proper contact adhesives & fillers for the foam backing. The price for a meter x width of vinyl is $20 to 30, which would be enough to do 2 dashes.
pocketscience Posted 18December, 2017 Report Share Posted 18December, 2017 The original dash in my 924 was beyond repair, so he sourced another and repaired / re-covered it. I've done a quick check and it appears that he's no longer operating, well not in Artarmon anyway. If I track him down I'll update this thread. Rod C Posted 18December, 2017 Report Share Posted 18December, 2017 You can get a new dash from werk924 website in Germany along with most of the original Porsche vinyls and cloths.
