oz951 Posted 5November, 2012 Report Share Posted 5November, 2012 I'm just wondering if many folks out there with non GT3 996/997s are outdoing track days ?
JustJames Posted 6November, 2012 Report Share Posted 6November, 2012 They're definitely out there! If you go to pcnsw.com.au and look for results, you'll be able to see who's been sprinting, and I know there are non-Mezger engined 99x cars, as well as Boxsters and Caymans...Caymen...Caymaenner....erm, all kinds of 986 and 987 cars. As a side note, the 996 Turbo is closer to the GT3 than to Carreras, as it shares the Mezger-designed engine.
T-Man Posted 6November, 2012 Report Share Posted 6November, 2012 There were more than a couple 996 Turbos at Sandown over the weekend.
oz951 Posted 6November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 6November, 2012 Thanks James & Theo. I was getting a bit worried when I searched you tube for 'eastern creek' and '996' and all I found was GT3 & Cup car videos.

Carrera28 Posted 22February, 2013 Report Share Posted 22February, 2013 I have tracked my 996 Carrera a couple of times. Only mods are a baffled and enlarged Gemballa sump and some semi slick tyres.
