JustJames Posted 12November, 2012 Report Share Posted 12November, 2012 Awesome, thanks. Do you sell the felt weather strips that fit between window and door (outside side), and the rubber scraper strip that fits above it, on the outside of the door? I'll need them for each side. I sell most bits...I'm not proud. I don't want to derail this thread so I'll PM you prices.
SteamWolf Posted 12November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 12November, 2012 It's my thread and I'll derail it how I like Much better than comparing knobs with Uncle.
JustJames Posted 12November, 2012 Report Share Posted 12November, 2012 So it is! For some reason I thought that it belonged to Doish. Anyhoo, put it down to an attempt at good forum behaviour.
SteamWolf Posted 13November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 13November, 2012 Next question, I picked up the felt seal for the sunroof from PP, thinking it's a clip-in affair. Turns out it's glued in place. Is there a particular recommendation for the type of glue/contact cement needed here?
JustJames Posted 13November, 2012 Report Share Posted 13November, 2012 The workshop here uses Forch, and until recently used Wurth contact adhesive. I'm told that a runnier contact adhesive is easier to spread on than a gloopier one. Regards James

I just used these guys below to purchase some trim for my 944 studio edition, very reasonable prices and excellent quality http://www.werk924.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16&Itemid=
SteveF Posted 20November, 2012 Report Share Posted 20November, 2012 Hi Bad, may I ask what a 944 studio edition is as I haven't heard of one before? Do you have any pictures you would be able to post? Cheers Steve
SteamWolf Posted 20November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 20November, 2012 Thanks Bad, looks like they only do the front engine cars. Am I reading that right in that it's 1500 euro for the trim kit???

SteamWolf Posted 21November, 2012 Author Report Share Posted 21November, 2012 Bad930, thanks. I see, I'll do that when the time comes. I'm about to move house so everything is on hold until the dust settles now. Yes, the car was Aus delivered to a QLD dealership, then in '96 sold to someone in Victoria, sold again in 2010 to someone in Bairnsdale, then I bought it a few months back and brought it to Newcastle. Reading through the reciepts, it's had a big bucket of money spent on it. The front seats were retrimmed in 2000 which is why they don't match the back. It's also had valve guides in 2005 and a new clutch in 2009. No reciepts for an engine rebuild so it may well be unopened, with 400,000km on it. Mind you, there's no reciept for the respray so no idea who or when that was done.
