LeeM Posted 18November, 2021 Report Share Posted 18November, 2021 The owner of the first gen Cayman Clubsport I spoke to at length at The Bend loves his. He'd owned a cup car and GT3 before that, yet said the CS would run rings around both of them.
JB911 Posted 18November, 2021 Report Share Posted 18November, 2021 Interesting that they haven't fitted centrelock wheels to what is a pure race car.
spiller Posted 18November, 2021 Report Share Posted 18November, 2021 Love this. 320K AUD, much cheaper and easier to run than a cup car. If you had a wad of cash and were looking to get into a factory race car without the need for an entourage, this is the one. 50 minutes ago, JB911 said: Interesting that they haven't fitted centrelock wheels to what is a pure race car. The road car centre locks are for posing. The cup cars have much beefier hubs and centre locks. Can only assume they went with 5 lug on this because it’s cheaper, less maintenance and not really needed since these cars are not intended for use in endurance racing where pit stops are a thing.
