domed Posted 17October, 2022 Report Share Posted 17October, 2022 I've just had my 993 MOT'd and the mechanic suggested I use Slick 50. I've never used additives before but he seemed to think it might be a benefit. Mileage is 105k and I use Shell Helix oil. Any thoughts? Peter M Posted 17October, 2022 Report Share Posted 17October, 2022 Only benefit is to those that sell it at a profit. Just continue to use a name brand oil and avoid thrashing the engine until has reached operating temperature. 911 and tomo

Frank Posted 20October, 2022 Report Share Posted 20October, 2022 There is lots of info on You-tube about rubbish like slick 50. if anything, look for best engine oils like Mobil 1 comparisons etc. New oils and filters is always best.
