Green7 Posted 21October, 2022 Report Share Posted 21October, 2022 Is it possible to activate daytime running lights on a MY11 987 Boxster? Looks like they were active on US spec cars but not here? Thanks in advance.
GC9911 Posted 21October, 2022 Report Share Posted 21October, 2022 Should be, you need to find someone who can access the cars software. I found a guy in Sydney who turned on a bunch of options on one of my early (water cooled) 911’s. There are others here who have much better knowledge than me on this topic, guys??? Redracn Posted 21October, 2022 Report Share Posted 21October, 2022 A 987.2 would most likely use the low beam as the DRL (the Cayman R does and it can be turned on or off by the user in the options) the lower lights are probably fog lights which can not be used as DRL. Bibbs Posted 24October, 2022 Report Share Posted 24October, 2022 I have a Foxwell, it's in there as I've done it to mine (987.1) If you are in Perth, you are welcome to give it a try.

Are you saying that daytime running lights are on the 987.1? My understanding was that it was only introduced on 987.2?
Green7 Posted 25October, 2022 Author Report Share Posted 25October, 2022 Thanks Bibbs. Sorry for my ignorance but what is a “Foxwell”? I’m in Melbourne so perhaps a bit far.
