997even.1 Posted 14March, 2023 Report Share Posted 14March, 2023 I have just moved to Aus and my car is due in a month or so - 997 C2S. May I ask if you can recommend the best (value & quality) places for OEM parts? Not interested in buying from the Porsche centres, as in the first instance it is just the front brake pads/discs etc that need changing, and it may end up getting done as part of the compliance. Thanks in advance!
sjm Posted 14March, 2023 Report Share Posted 14March, 2023 On my 997 C2S I purchased disc’s, pads and sensors for Four wheels from Autohaus Hamilton. Good quality parts and reasonable prices when compared to o/s delivery charges. Oh and you always get a caramello koala in the packaging🙂 LeeM and TwoHeadsTas

TwoHeadsTas Posted 14March, 2023 Report Share Posted 14March, 2023 My mechanic says he gets usually 3 prices - AH, BWA and PC Brighton. Anything I buy myself I tend to end up at AH, must be the Koala that swings it.... sjm

997even.1 Posted 23March, 2023 Author Report Share Posted 23March, 2023 Update - Front pads/discs/sensors/dampers Autohaus - $880 ASV - $770 without dampers Unique Autoparts - $1340!!! Design911 from back home in the UK - $605 incl. GST, no duty or handling to pay, and they only took 5 days to get here! I really wanted to support local businesses when I got here, but the Porsche tax is heavy in Australia! Thanks for all the suggestions.
