Mike D'Silva Posted 14June, 2023 Report Share Posted 14June, 2023 Here are a few pics of a 3.2 Short Stroke motor I have been working on. It's soon to be off to its new owner. I'll be starting a full 3.2 Carrera (stock) rebuild soon, so contact me if you're in the market for a new motor. tomo Posted 14June, 2023 Report Share Posted 14June, 2023 Being a short stroke does this bore stroke combination allow for higher RPM ?
Mike D'Silva Posted 14June, 2023 Author Report Share Posted 14June, 2023 Generally, yes. The general consensus is that high rpm is limited by rod bolts, rod weights and strength, piston weight, etc... The 'short stroke' name is used on 3.0 engines when the bore is increased but the stroke remains the same. Generally speaking, increasing bore increases power at higher rpm. And increasing stroke tends to result in torque increases lower down. Raven, tomo and Yeatesy 2
