djinstruments Posted 30June, 2023 Report Share Posted 30June, 2023 Looking for a window tinting company in Brisbane who has experience in tinting the rear hatch of a 944? Any help would be greatly appreciated
brian in buddina Posted 1July, 2023 Report Share Posted 1July, 2023 Might be better to go to any recommended auto tint outfit and get a quote. Because when he is done he will complain that it took longer than he thought.
djinstruments Posted 2July, 2023 Author Report Share Posted 2July, 2023 I had 4 refuse to quote. I had one quote it, attempt to do it, then rang up and said that they wasted too much film and they were not going to complete the car. So I have the side and qtr windows done, but no hatch cheers
Dreamr Posted 2July, 2023 Report Share Posted 2July, 2023 I asked for a quote once and he said he'd need to speak to a few other tinters and let me know. They all said he'd be mad to even attempt it .. that was enough for him to say thanks for the opportunity but no thanks ...
Rob Posted 2July, 2023 Report Share Posted 2July, 2023 I had a 968 with full tint when I bought it, but needed to get the driver's side re-done. When I was talking to the tinter, I asked him what he thought of the difficulty factor for the hatch glass. He said he was effing glad he didn't have to do it - too many cuts and joins... OzJustin Posted 5July, 2023 Report Share Posted 5July, 2023 I have a feeling @Jason E had his old car tinted? Some fancy new invisible clear tint on the front glass even. Maybe he can chime in.
Jason E Posted 5July, 2023 Report Share Posted 5July, 2023 I used TintMart at Strathpine & they had no dramas with tinting the rear window in my 944. I did also have them put a clear UV film on the windscreen as I wanted to keep the dash pristine. They did a very good job.
