Cruise Control on 993

Recommended Posts

I am looking at fixing this myself (gotta start somewhere).

Fuse seems fine, as other things on that fuse work.

Is the brake pedal microswitch the next most likely issue ?   How easy is that for me (who worked in IT for 25 years) to change ?

you haven't given much info

does the green light come on?

did it just stop working?

has the engine been out recently?

Hi Chris ,

I had similar problems on my 993.

Cavaco's advised this is a common problem and is mostly related to the micro switch.

Had the micro switch adjusted and worked for a while when i last checked.

I never use it, living inner city and think it might be out of whack again.

I,d be curious to know how easy a job it is as I think the switch replacement is the go.

My Clutch pedal occassionally does not fully return either and this will affect the micro switch as well.

The clutch strut seal is a bit old.

cheers

I'm no expert by any means, but I thought the cruise control was a separate module and not part of the ECU?
