Russ Posted 27June, 2013 Report Share Posted 27June, 2013 so I'm having some "gear selection issues" in my sporto I assume it's the clutch not releasing so hopefully it's adjustable (either that or it's covered in oil) I'm going to get the micro switch adjusted again, the valves on the intake side cleaned and the clutch adjustment checked.. but I've had this done before and I'm guessing they aren't the issue - I've even had the vacuum diaphragm tested and it was okay scratch looking for a clutch 'rebuilder' I've found I can get a new clutch (I think it's shared with a superbug!) Russ Posted 29June, 2013 Author Report Share Posted 29June, 2013 ok so micro switch is adjusted correctly and nearly new. and it seems like it's only doing it after going into reverse - so I assume it's to do with the clutch release (and not letting go after going into reverse) next step clutch adjustment, then pull engine and see what the clutch is like, and the seal oh and the good news! the clutch is available! Russ Posted 20October, 2014 Author Report Share Posted 20October, 2014 just an update to this thread, was a battery voltage/charging issue that I wasn't getting a full 12v to the solenoid, so it wasn't activating the clutch!
