Cal Posted 31July, 2013 Report Share Posted 31July, 2013 Is anyone able to clarify power output of an 2.4L Australian car from that year. Seems they were somewhere between 180-185hp and then downgraded to 160hp for the US market in 73. Just wondering if ours suffered the same fate? Russ Posted 31July, 2013 Report Share Posted 31July, 2013 I thought it was 140hp for T, 160 for E and 190 for S (first car I ever looked at was a 72 T) But these are probably the US hp figures
mph911 Posted 31July, 2013 Report Share Posted 31July, 2013 73E has 165hp for all markets. The 73T actually had more (140hp) for US than ROW (130hp) due to switching to CIS injection.
D-banger Posted 31July, 2013 Report Share Posted 31July, 2013 I always read the 73E to have 165 ponies. As stated above, the 73T in the US had CIS for US emission regulations (aka "1973.5"), as compared to ROW T which was carbureted. I've seen this nice 73E around
