StevepGT3 Posted 15September, 2013 Report Share Posted 15September, 2013 Can anyone please recommend someone to re gas a 993 in the EASTERN suburbs. I have had the car for six or so years and the air con isn't as cold as it used to be. Thanks
Asyd Posted 15September, 2013 Report Share Posted 15September, 2013 Steve, You may need to prepare yourself for a rebuild. The receiver / dryers and coils go after so long on most 993 s and with all the dismantling and reassembly of the dash to access the coil etc. a fairly standard price is 3 k ( unless you are preparing the typical 993 sales add) Makes a huge improvement though Cheers

T-Man Posted 16September, 2013 Report Share Posted 16September, 2013 phil hearn auto coupe in eltham Yes, Autocoupe regassed mine just before summer. If it has a leak it is probably the evaporator. These things are infamous for dying. Spoke with Phil about the options and decided to gas it again for next summer as opposed to swapping out the evaporator. I think Porsche list the labour on an evaporator at 10 hours!
