Should the front seats of '79 SC targa have velour inserts?

From my understanding, there was no specific trim to a specific car......

 

Velour trim would have been very period in '79 so I would have thought it not only possible, but likely...

 

Maybe some more switched on members could shed a little more light??

I have a 76 911 and have red tartan seat inserts. Not sure it that helps.

Yes, many English cars had velour inserts, the black pinstripe velour was particularly popular at the time...as a matter of fact my Tourist Delivered SC that I owned quite a few years back had that option...

My neighbour used to work for Hamiltons back in the 70's and reckons that Australian delivered had velour inserts as standard.
